Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the processing of personal data that domoticarte collects through the website https://domoticarte.com, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD) and Spanish Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society Services (LSSI). By using the site you are deemed to have read and accepted this policy.

Personal data is processed for the following purposes, communicated to the user at the moment of collection:

• Responding to requests and inquiries sent through the contact form or the other communication channels listed on the site (collaborations, directed technical queries, etc.).
• Analysing how the site is used with anonymous browsing statistics (Google Analytics 4), only if you consent to the cookies via the cookie banner.
• Improving the content and navigation of the site based on that statistics, and for routine admin and maintenance of the site.
• Serving advertising (Google Ads): used, only with your consent in the banner's marketing category, to show interest-based ads and measure conversions on site actions.

The legal basis for the processing is (i) your consent when personal data is collected through the contact form or for Google Ads advertising (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given freely, specifically, knowledgeably and unambiguously; and (ii) the controller's legitimate interest in site-usage statistics (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), which only applies once you have consented to the relevant cookies.

Depending on how you use the site we may process the following categories of data:

• Contact data: name, email, subject and message you voluntarily provide when you get in touch.
• Browsing data: IP address, device type, operating system, pages visited and visit duration, via Google Analytics 4. Only collected if you consent to cookies.
• Browsing preferences: your light/dark mode choice and your cookie-banner answer, stored locally in your own browser (first-party storage, no third-party cookies) so they can be remembered between visits. Nothing is sent to any server except Google Analytics, and only if you consent.
• Advertising data: with your consent, data from Google Ads conversion tracking (cookies and parameters) is processed to measure actions such as clicks on highlighted links.

• Contact form data: kept until you request deletion. Once your inquiry is answered, any data not needed to keep it on file is removed.
• Google Analytics 4 statistics: kept for 14 months in the Analytics property, per Google's default policy.
• Browsing preferences (cookies): kept in your browser's localStorage until you clear them yourself from your browser settings or the consent-banner reopener.
• Google Ads data: retained in Google Ads and Google Analytics per Google's retention policies for campaign and measurement data.

Contact-form data is not shared with third parties, except when legally required. To handle your inquiries and keep the site up we use the following providers, which act as processors under a data-processing agreement under GDPR Art. 28:

• Microsoft Azure (United States): the contact form posts to a Logic App on Azure, which briefly holds the data and then forwards the message to our corporate email address.
• Google LLC (United States): Google Analytics 4 is used only if you consent; the statistics flow through Google's servers. Google will also act as processor for the advertising served through Google Ads, under the same consent requirements.

Some of the services we use (Microsoft Azure, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads) run their servers in the United States, outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Any such transfer relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914), in force and published in the Official Journal of the EU, that both companies have signed with their national data-protection authorities. You can read the providers' own data-protection policies on their websites.

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser to remember information about your visit. On domoticarte we use the following categories of cookies, manageable from the consent banner shown on your first visit:

• Necessary cookies (always on, cannot be disabled): required for the site to work. This is where your light/dark theme choice is stored (browser local storage, first-party only, no third-party cookies).
• Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4. Installed only if you accept them. They gather anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, device type).
• Marketing cookies: used with Google Ads to personalise the ads you may see and to measure conversions. They are only installed if you accept this category in the cookie banner.
• Preference cookies: remember choices you make on the site. Today that is only your light/dark theme preference.

You can change your consent at any time by clicking the shield button (bottom of the page) that reopens the preference panel, or by clearing cookies in your browser. First-party storage (theme, consent choice) can also be cleared from your browser's settings without affecting any essential site functionality.

Some articles embed YouTube videos. The video is not loaded when the page first opens: a locally-hosted thumbnail (the article's own cover) is shown instead, and only when you press play does the player load from youtube-nocookie.com, without advertising cookies from YouTube beyond what the player itself uses. Clicking play is your consent to load the video from YouTube.

This site is aimed at an audience over 14 years old. If a minor under the age of consent for autonomous consent has provided any data, the parent or legal guardian must exercise the opposition and erasure rights over that data by writing to contact@domoticarte.com.

We apply technical and organisational security measures proportionate to the risk level of the data: TLS encryption on all communications (HTTPS certificate), restricted access to systems that handle personal data, and periodic configuration reviews of our providers. As with any service on the internet, however, no communication channel is completely secure; please do not enter sensitive data in the contact form.

Any person may exercise the following rights recognised under GDPR and LOPDGDD against domoticarte:

• Access: to know whether we process your data and to receive a copy.
• Rectification: to correct inaccurate or complete incomplete data.
• Erasure: to ask us to delete your data (the "right to be forgotten").
• Objection: to object to processing based on your particular situation.
• Restriction: to limit processing temporarily while something about your data is being verified.
• Portability: to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
• Not be subject to automated decision-making: we do not make decisions with legal effects based solely on automated processing.

To exercise any of these rights, send an email to contact@domoticarte.com stating which right it is and including a copy of your ID (or other valid identification) and your email address. We will respond within one month.

If you believe the processing carried out by domoticarte violates your data-protection rights or applicable law, you may file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es. That does not prevent you from using the administrative or judicial remedies that may apply.

This policy may change in the future, whether due to legal changes, case law, or because we introduce new features or services. We recommend reviewing it periodically. Changes only affect data collected from the date of publication; your previous consent still applies to data collected before.
